Carpool Terms of Use (Drivers)
By using our carpool service as a driver, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility:
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use our carpool service as a driver.
1.2 You must have a valid driver's license.
1.3 You must abide by all local laws and regulations regarding transportation and carpooling.
Offering Rides:
2.1 As a driver, you have the option to offer rides through our mobile application or website.
2.2 When offering a ride, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your vehicle and the trip details.
2.3 You are responsible for ensuring that your vehicle is in good condition and meets all safety requirements.
Insurance:
3.1 The driver takes the responsibility to insure their vehicle as per the laws in effect and to check the validity of their insurance before every trip.
3.2 It is each driver’s and passenger’s responsibility to verify with their insurance company they are covered while carpooling.
3.3 For drivers with company-issued vehicles, it is their duty to check their insurance policies cover all passengers on a carpooling trip.
Safety:
4.1 Your passengers' safety is your responsibility. Please ensure that your vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition.
4.2 Follow all traffic laws and regulations during the ride.
4.3 In case of any emergency or safety concern during the trip, prioritize the safety of your passengers and notify the appropriate authorities if necessary.
Conduct:
5.1 Be respectful to your passengers during the ride.
5.2 Refrain from engaging in any behavior that may be considered disruptive or offensive.
5.3 Do not bring any illegal substances or weapons into your vehicle.
Payment
6.1 Payment for the ride will be processed through our platform.
6.2 You agree to accept the agreed-upon fare for the ride.
6.3 Any additional fees or charges incurred during the ride, such as tolls or parking fees, will be communicated to the passenger and should be collected accordingly.
Feedback
7.1 We welcome feedback on our carpool service. Please encourage your passengers to provide feedback so we can continue to improve our platform.
7.2 Any feedback provided should be constructive and respectful.
Modifications
8.1 RideON Canada reserves the right to modify or update these terms of use at any time.
8.2 Any changes to the terms of use will be communicated to you through our platform or via email.
Termination
9.1 RideON Canada reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to our carpool service if you violate any of these terms of use.
9.2 You may also terminate your account with RideON Canada at any time by contacting customer support.
By using RideON Canada’s carpool service as a driver, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms of use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.
