Carpool Terms of Use (Riders)
By using our carpool service as a driver, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility:
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use our carpool service.
1.2 You must have a valid driver's license or identification, if requested by the driver.
1.3 You must abide by all local laws and regulations regarding transportation and carpooling.
Booking a Ride:
2.1 You can book a ride through our mobile application or website.
2.2 When booking a ride, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
2.3 Once a ride is booked, you are responsible for being ready at the pickup location at the specified time.
Safety:
3.1 Your safety is our priority. Please ensure to wear your seatbelt during the ride.
3.2 If you feel unsafe during the ride, please notify the driver immediately and consider terminating the ride if necessary.
3.3 RideON Canada is not responsible for any accidents or incidents that may occur during the ride, but we strive to provide a safe platform for carpooling.
Conduct:
4.1 Be respectful to the driver and other passengers during the ride.
4.2 Refrain from engaging in any behavior that may be considered disruptive or offensive.
4.3 Do not bring any illegal substances or weapons into the vehicle.
Payment:
5.1 Payment for the ride will be processed through our platform.
5.2 You agree to pay the agreed-upon fare for the ride.
5.3 Any additional fees or charges incurred during the ride, such as tolls or parking fees, will be the responsibility of the rider.
Cancellation:
6.1 You can cancel a ride booking up to a certain time specified in our cancellation policy without incurring any charges.
6.2 Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee being charged to your account.
Insurance:
7.1 The driver takes the responsibility to insure their vehicle as per the laws in effect and to check the validity of their insurance before every trip.
7.2 It is each driver’s and passenger’s responsibility to verify with their insurance company they are covered while carpooling.
7.3 For drivers with company-issued vehicles, it is their duty to check their insurance policies cover all passengers on a carpooling trip.
Feedback:
8.1 We welcome your feedback on our carpool service. Please let us know about your experience so we can continue to improve our platform.
8.2 Any feedback provided should be constructive and respectful.
Modifications:
9.1 RideON Canada reserves the right to modify or update these terms of use at any time.
9.2 Any changes to the terms of use will be communicated to you through our platform or via email.
Termination:
10.1 RideON Canada reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to our carpool service if you violate any of these terms of use.
10.2 You may also terminate your account with RideON Canada at any time by contacting customer support.
By using RideON Canada’s carpool service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms of use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.
